I'd been a member on this forum before being on this forum was cool. Most of the Old Breed here know I know the distinction therefore I don't always think I have to distinguish.

However our Marine Corps is bigger it is pretty damn lethal from the direct combat units. Fallujah should prove that.

But you are right I guess, our Marines are probably more akin to the Waffen SS though. Watching 3/1 go into Fallujah and executing wounded POW'sgave me a hard on. I prefer seeing a unit that will kill every living thing on the battlefield than an egalitarian unit that shoots an enemy, treats him, puts him in prison to learn how to better perfect his terrorist skills and gets a lump of money upon release and citizenship in the country he fought against.
Let them call me a rebel and I welcome it, I feel no concern from it; but I should suffer the misery of demons were I to make a whore of my soul. (Thomas Paine)

Whitey,
The USMC at Fallujah were outstanding and I have read about it in considerable depth. Several act as well of personal heroism to save the local populace by all ranks.
I concur the USMC is the most lethal force on earth.

How about this thread returns to its original purpose?
I believe Ryan was asking for help in choosing a career path...

Did it offer Ryan any useful suggestions or information that would help him make a decision?

I've split this thread so that Ryan can get the info he was after - anyone looking for the posts about world domination should look at the newly created Whitey's thread...

Ryan,
coming in late on this one so bear with me.
Have you been down to the careers office as yet to see what sort of things are available to you?
What sort of things are you quite good at, or interested in?
Maybe if we knew a little more about you, we'd be able to help you form some ideas.
Let us know please, so as we can try to help
