Can you just clarify a couple of points......tay1981 wrote: (snip)........ can do the run between 11 and 1130 at the moment but it hurts, my best is 1040 and only doing 5 pull ups, any advice? is this anywhere good enough?
Are you a 'boy' or a 'girl'?

Pull-ups are a pain in a ar$e unless you've been taught 'the technique'. BUT...if you actually meant to say 5 push-ups then I must assume you definitely ARE a girl....
5 pull-ups = Room for improvement
5 push-ups = "There's the exit.... use it!"

The above is said (partly) in jest.... 5-6 weeks is enough to get on top of things .......but pull your finger out and don't relax. You'll be up against a lot of others that want to get in as much as you....
Don't overdo the training and panic.. But steadily increase your workrate/runs etc. At this stage just work out a local route of approx 1.5 mile and try to improve it on every run.
And practise your push-ups/sit-ups
Do that and you'll be fine.
BTW - Thanks for posting something in english rather than txt spk or gobble-de-gook

Rest is good. (just don’t overdo it eh?) You’re on top of it by even coming on here and asking. You’ll be surprised how fit you can get in a few weeks when there’s a bit of purpose to your training.........
However........
You mention fillings.........
Definitely get your teeth sorted. Dental hygeine is a big thing in The Forces. Just think how much of a burden you could be on ops for Christs sake! Once the bullets run out and your bayonet is dull from slicing through the bodies, all you may have left is your teeth in a biting fight......
And if you have a gap, please note you will need to have a symmetrical row of teeth. Ask your dentist to remove the same tooth on the other side. You need to have a symmetrical mouth to pass the medical and selection, something to do with air pressure in aircraft.
As for false teeth...........they’re a no-no in an operational environment, as they might fall out and block the air inlet from the respirator canister.
In short...........
Teeth.... get them sorted now or you'll be spitting them out when you do compulsory milling during your first week training.......(normally fighting for best bed space)
And get them sorted in civvy street. Whatever you do don't let the army dentist take a look inside your gob.... they'll use you for dental experiments giving them valuable experience for when they get out and earn shedloads in the private sector.
Take me for example:
Before I joined up:

AFTER my first dental check up:

(Although drinking too much cookhouse screech (orange flavour) probably didn't help...)
Good luck mate

The most important thing on ADSC i got told at mine was the Team tasks on the second day. The sargeant in charge told us he didn't care if we did sub 10 on the run if we did crap and failed on the team tasks we was going home. Just get involved with the team tasks, shout help to people try to be organised and make sure when you get 3minutes to make a plan, everybody understands what there doing.
As for fitness side,
I got 11:15 on the 1.5
9 heaves
Completed Jerry Can & the 55kg lift
and that got me to pass for infantry.
The grenade test is nothing to worry about, not sure if they do the same grenades at every Selection centre but its something like the HE L109 grenade and the L111A1. You get info on it and its pretty simple don't worry about it.
