Old patches in a box

Post by Guardian of The Wall »

I was looking through an old box today full of stuff bought at air shows and other military events. I happened to find three patches at the bottom and I have no idea what they are or where they are from. :(

1. A blue shield with a white border. It shows a white snake wrapped round a long hunting knife? That's also white.

2. Fairly square shaped, this too is blue with a white border but it shows two red knives (are they bayonets?) crossed over each other.

3. A red circle with a black ring around it. This shows two black triangles joined together at the point in the middle. Looks a bit like a bow tie/egg timer.

Does anyone know how to identify these? Can anyone here tell me what forces these patches belong to? Army? Airforce? They're not American are they? :-?

Having had a quick look through those flashes they only cover the Army during the war. After the war we still had a million men under arms and there were a lot of other flashes around not shown on that list
