rebreathers

Post by NARKED AT90 »

i see we can put a little about our company here,
we design build and market under water life suport systems and safty equipment, mainly making rebreather componts and galvanic cell chekers.
we started a few years ago making our own diving equipment, but it seems more and more people wanted what we made, and the monster was born,
there has been many deaths in the diving industy both in sivvy and the militry, using rebreather equipmnet, i had lost a lot of good friends to these machines and wanted to try and do some thing about it.
so most of the work we now do is aimed at underwater safty when using rebreathers, we started off making a machine for checking rebreather parts before you get in the water, we won an award for this last year(inovation of the year) and we have now started selling this to a number of militryaround the world,
and since we made the machine we have started to tackle other problems with rebreather control systems, and are now producing the most fault tolerant controler on the market,
i think we now have about 48ish products on the market on open sale and that again in special parts not for open sale.
our website are..shop site www.narkedat90.co.uk
new site www.grpservices.com

Watched a program on Navy Seals the other day, they were all using the rebreather systems which uses some sort of lime solution which converts the CO2 into oxygen and there are no escaping bubbles giving your position away on the surface.

Quite an amazing piece of kit.

they used to call it o3, the Russian's used in a number of units, way back, but i don't think it is used much now, it's very nasty stuff.
but I'm sure some brave people are using it, but now there are safer options.
kind regards john routley

Hello John.

You may find this interesting.

Within the services few divers are trained on the 'closed circuit' O2 set.
If you would care to go to the Once a Marine web site, you will find a number of members with a background in service and civvy diving.
