Hello mate!

To Answer all your questions; The 1.5 mile run is going up a mountain, don’t worry the warm up is a couple of reps so you'll be warm and ready for it by the time you start! To pass the grenade test, realistically you'll need to be up the best part of the night revising or you'll fail. The team tasks involve blindfolds, live fire and grenades, crocodile infested rivers, monster trucks and TAB in his 300 outfit with Aviators poking you with a stick.

Godspeed!

Have you not considered RMA Sandhurst?

You tight c@#t! The poor guy only wanted some advice... I know people that can't spell and are complete shite at anything academic, but hand them a weapon and tell them to tab and navigate then it's a completely different story!

Mate the team tasks are easy it just generally seeing if you can work as part of a group and is very basic! Just go for it you will be fine.

I'd rather be a tight c@#t than a slack anus, but thats just a personal preference.

Anyway, spelling is important as anyone who has served or is serving can back me up on, it tends to allow people to met in the same place when using weapons tabbing and navigating.

Plus as I have said so many times before this forum has standards, just like the military, and most of us observe them.

However, if he's flapping about doing simple team tasks, and thinking he's going to fail at this first hurdle......stacks of use when any real pressure is on!

You don't know that, so what you should of done was to give him the advice he was looking for and waited for his report back. He at least deserves a chance!

OK, lets get this right...he's a young civvie and I'm a Para Regt senior rank, and I should be waiting for him to report back? After doling out advice about whether he should be able to perform on team building tasks?? Get your head down!

Here's some advice..if you're worried about that, go and work for MacDonalds. At least you don't have to worry about team building tasks there. Or getting mortared, shot at or IED'd.

JayBuckley is also a civvy am I right?

So a civvy is advising a civvy and also advising a Para Regt Senior Rank about how he advises civvies going through the application process for said Regiment?

I am more concerned for Jay now than I am for someone pooing themselves about jumping from one plank of wood to another on a piece of grass wearing a yellow bib.

You could look at this way, If he Is that keen on getting In he could read the negative comments on this thread (all rightly deserved) stick a finger up at the screen tell us all to piss off then go do the insight course, get In and prove us all wrong.

But I wont place my bets on that just yet.
