Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell

Post by Greenronnie »

Just finished reading this on a flight, cracking read if you can put up with all the usual Yank cheesy bits.

It's the story of a 4 man SEAL team sent into the hills of Afghanistan to take out a prominent Taliban leader. I'm not going to spoil it, but suffice to say things go tits-up, and these lads go through a severe beasting whilst trying to stay alive. Well worth a read.

Being made into a film apparently, in typical US style.

Should be good if they keep it accurate and don't give it the typical Hollywood OTT treatment though.
