Navy diver

[Hands on]

Hi all I am asking these on behalf of a young friend, he Is very interested In becoming a royal navy diver and has been reading every think he can find on the subject.
He has found out that In the Australian navy a diver gets extra weapons and In the field training on top of the basic training you would get, does anyone know If royal navy divers get more training on weapons on top of basic and the annual top up training?

Sorry If this seems a bit of a lame question, he asked me i did not know the answer being army so I said I would try and find It out.
