Been searching around the forums today and cannot find anything that tells you about before and after P-Coy. So can anyone please tell me what a usual day is like in para depot before and after p-coy?? Like whats it like when you first get there? and what do you do for the first few days? and whats the accommodation like? and how many men to a room? etc. And you don't have to tell me it's going to be hard as i know it's going to be the hardest thing thing ive ever done in my life. Cheers lads much appreciated

All I know it's four to a room. And P-Coy isn't very early on, if you pass ADSC, you'll go to do Phase 1 training at an ATR. I'm not clear on after that, so I'm not going to comment. After sucessfull completion of P-Coy, I think you go on to the Jumps Course, learning to Parachute. After that I don't know, wait for someone else to answer. Sorry could not be much help.
After p coy to my knowledge you participate in some live firing exercises before going on the jumps course. Before you will be learning infantryman skills such as map reading, first aid, rifle lessons, drill, fieldcraft, battlefield tours etc...There is a Parachute Regiment DVD available from your local AFCO that details the weeks of training.
Week 1-6
Rifle lessons, rifle ranges, drill, PT, adjutants drill inspection, fieldcraft lessons, (week 6 long weekend off)
Week 6-12
Battlefield tours, NBC training, first aid lessons, map reading, sports competition (week 12 long weekend off)
Week 12-18
Adventure training, NBC training, tactical exercise, tactical drills and few other things (week 18 week off)
Week 19
Urban warfare training
Week 20
PPS
All i can remember off the DVD don't know i've got them exactly correct but you get the general idea

Hello everyone I thought I would just post this question on here as it's a similar one to what Freer07's. In PT at para depot do you get straight stuck into PT your first day there? Also how long do they usually last for and what do they consist of normally? I am just asking this as I am curious not becuase I don't think I'll be able to do it as I am rather confident I can if I give it my 100% effort every time.
Thanks everyone
Thanks everyone

fark me, what a mind of informationBefore you get there I dont know, then its hard - so Im told or have read, then after that I dont know much either, so I dont know why I have spent my time writing about something I dont know anything about, but I have. But I think so therefore I am, but I'm not and never have been, so dont really know. But RN Green lids are called marines and you dont stack tents on ships.

for one i was in a twelve man room two you start fitness from day one and its hard all the way up to and after pcoy but nothing compared to the stuff ull be doing out here and three you dont do youre jumps straight after pcoy now you have 8 weeks of transition to live firing final ex battle camp and to finish off a couple of weeks shit drill ready for youre pass off parade followed by pass off friday report battalion monday induction cadre for the week which consists of ten miler ,two miler ,mile and a half sit ups best effort push ups best effort then gpmg lesson ugl lessons 51mm mortar lessons and if youre very lucky youre company piss up and youre INITIATION HAHAHAHA .and then if youre really lucky you might get to go on a jumps course which you probably wont get youre wings on first time round because of weather and lack of aircraft i have a friend out here with me who has been in battalion since last august and isnt looking at getting his wings till maybe mid next year but life in the reg is mega and if you stay with it long enough you will get everything you wanted from it. sorry for any writing mistakes as im shit at english bye
