Patronising morons

Post by Airborne Legend »

This is from an MOD news piece about a group of MPs who spent some time in Afghanistan with RM.

[quote]"The lads from Inkerman were very professional and I was struck by how intelligent they were.

"I had a stereotype in my mind of Royal Marines as rough, tough and not particularly smart, but I could not have been more wrong. These men had lived, worked and fought in incredibly difficult conditions and could not have been older than their early 20s, but they were not fazed at all. I was incredibly impressed."[quote]

We need to turn this idea round that anyone who joins the forces is somehow just a no hoper who'd be working in McDonalds otherwise. Really f*cking p*sses me off!          I don't want a job in the rat race because it's soul destroying, not because I'm not intelligent enough to do anything else.
There is no fear, there is only the force.

Do or do not, there is no try.

Do you suppose any of them are from the nearly 90 per cent of the 47 teachers questioned who opposed plans for history and citizenship lessons aimed at fostering national identity and pride?

Gone fishing!

I see the Tory MP who siphoned off taxpayers money to give (erm...yep...give :o ) to his sons was complaining that an MP earns less than a sous chef in the Commons. The answer is simple - get yerself on a f****g course then mate

"All Royal Marines should be put on an Island and left there until they are needed"

Atributed to a Labour MP of the female variety as she had a nasty experience with one in her youth. Mrs Barbara Castle.

I reckon most Labour MP's still think along the same lines even in these enlightened times.
