And so what happened to parental resposibility?jayne wrote:,i put the blame totally on the British Government and it's a real shame that some kids out there ar'nt toght respect from an early age,i mean whats happened to the word please and thankyou these days as i work in the retail sector and i'd say only 3 out of 10 children say these words.....
For those who don't know I am advisory teacher in Manchester, my specialism is behaviour. I work with kids from pre-school up to 16.
Teachers are lambasted for not 'sorting out' kids' behaviour. Day in, day out.
In my humble (26 years) of experience teaching I have very rarely had to work with a child whose behavioural issues cannot be attributed to their domestic circumstances.
Bugger all to do with the Government/ Local Authority/ school.
PARENTS NEED TO SHOULDER THEIR SHARE OF THE BLAME!
Get to grips with their kids .... set boundaries and consequences and above all set a good example!
This sort of a thread makes me VERY ANGRY
You need to have some respect for teachers who work their tits off on behalf of their charges.
