Censorship at Militaryforums.co.uk
A post about civilian deaths in Iraq has been deleted without explanation. It appears the moderators of this forum are afraid to engage in open debate and instead resort to Stalinist tactics of censorship.
What’s wrong mods, scared of the truth?

I'm glad that you brought this to my attention, I for one will cancel my subscription to the Guardian forthwith.yochanan wrote:So are you denying that militarfourms.co.uk censored my post? I believe that theory has already been rebutted in another thread owdun.Another Great Yarmouth resident to add to the other asshole ,thou shalt not kill. Suspect same idiot child, different names.Sad.
If you have anything other than ad-hominem attacks though I would be happy to engage in polite and intellectual discourse with you, something ominously lacking from these forums.

He's right you know, Great Yarmouth is a hotbed of political intrigue, it's almost as bad as Bognor Regis for leftist revolutionaries.yochanan wrote:I believe that theory has already been rebutted in another thread owdun.Another Great Yarmouth resident to add to the other asshole ,thou shalt not kill. These are privately owned forums, you and I have no rights here to post anything we like, we have the permission of the owner, and he/they have given authority to the mods to act in their stead when it comes to deletion/bans ectyochanan wrote:So are you denying that militarfourms.co.uk censored my post? simply put if they don't like what they see, they don't have to see it for long.
In addition to obvious truth of what mutter1 wrote, yochanan, you are doubtless aware of the concept of internet trolling. You might get a slightly better response if your posting style & profile weren't so relentlessly combative (somewhat ironic) & partisan. Like, for example, your likely self-fulfulling assumption that your post would be deleted, thus taking screenshots in advance. Also, the fact that this thread is still here rather holes your big bad censorship claim.
First, your various Peace Not War proclamations seem to indicate a universal anti-war stance. Is this what you are arguing? What do you mean by anti-war?
(Tangentally, how does that square with your 'resistance fighter' self-description?)
Oh very well then. As (I think) the closest thing to a resident academic, I'll give it a shot. Go with a wee bit of Socratic debate shall we?I would be happy to engage in polite and intellectual discourse with you

I haven`t binned anything by this idiot. He hasn`t posted anything that contravenes the terms and conditions. Being a dickhead isn`t reason enough, sadly
Take your chip off your shoulder and shove it up your bottom, dear

I was never under the impression that these forums were anything but private. I would just have expected the courtesy of an explanation for why my post had been deleted, especially as this is a military forum I was under the impression that the military were held in high esteem for their politeness and courtesy. But the attitude and use of language of some of those on these boards have clearly shown that to be untrue. These are privately owned forums, you and I have no rights here to post anything we like, we have the permission of the owner, and he/they have given authority to the mods to act in their stead when it comes to deletion/bans ect

Your assumptions are misplaced Sarastro. I use a browser that allows me to view my cached history, therefore I just took the screenshot from my cache once someone brought into question the validity of my claim.your likely self-fulfulling assumption that your post would be deleted, thus taking screenshots in advance.
Well, there is no doubt that my post was censored, without reason. The proof has been presented. As for why this thread wasn’t censored, I could speculate, perhaps others got here and posted before there was chance, perhaps the mods thought that I would have no proof of said censorship. Maybe they can shed some light on the matter for us?Also, the fact that this thread is still here rather holes your big bad censorship claim.
I’m sorry but I suggest you look at my first posts, you will see that I have been shouted down and abused from the very start, all for asking questions and raising points. I have been polite throughout my comments and haven’t resorted to the use of insults and attacks like others on these boards. You might get a slightly better response if your posting style & profile weren't so relentlessly combative
Socratic, Platonic, a bit of Nietzsche, if you wish, but I fear others on these boards may have difficulty with the subject judging from the standard of their posts thus far.Go with a wee bit of Socratic debate shall we?
The peace not war comment is regarding the Imperial endeavours currently being undertaken in the Middle East. I could foresee of situations where war would be justified, but illegally invading and occupying lands on false pretences and then proceeding to slaughter untold numbers of civilians and then polluting a region with DU; that would not be justified.First, your various Peace Not War proclamations seem to indicate a universal anti-war stance. Is this what you are arguing? What do you mean by anti-war?
I cannot say I have had the misfortune of serving in the Imperial Forces. But I am intrigued as to why you believe that after having been a royal storm trooper I would be more accepting of censorship, perhaps you would care to enlighten me on the matter? You enter a military forum and then complain about your posts being deleted...May I ask if you have ever served your country in Her Majesty's Armed Forces.
Now how about the person who censored my post gives us an explanation?

Then that was your first mistake, dear.I was never under the impression that these forums were anything but private.
Most of this site is a public forum. We don`t all have identical opinions and therefore we accept differing views.
We don`t accept fugwits like you who have no interest in positive contribution.
If you don`t like/can`t accept that, then simply leave us alone and annoy someone else.
