I moved up to Norton Manor Camp with 40 Commando in 1983 and have lived there ever since. I still have property there.
The town has changed quite a bit in some ways but has retained a lot of its parochial West Country charm.

And it's really close to Cedar Falls Health Spa...

I could H, my brain is numb.
Still, off to the sandy places for a brief visit soon, should be fun!

Norton manor is a lovely camp with new building going up all the time. the married quarters are in two locations sherford (older quarters) but near town and norton fitzwarren in cross keys close and burnside drive. the houses in burnside are older but are much more spacious with big back gardens. No 1 - 13 cross keys are smaller quarters all three bedroomed but have sepreate utily room which has recently been done. and are ok. no 14 onwards are the new build but they look nice from outside but there is no storage although they do have attached garages to them which you can access from your utility room. They are all three bedroomed. Hope this helps

Nice area and handy for the school too as well as only being 2 miles from camp ( try get norton fitzwarren if you can)

there is a hive on camp (which i used to run when it was families club) and they have info for you but its a bit out the way.

Rogue,

Ever come across a guy called Kevin Lumley in 40? HW rating - left around about late 90s/2000?

The name sounds vaguely familiar, but by the late 90's I was attached to the Army until my discharge in 2001. I may have encountered him earlier though.
Furthermore, being GD, I tended to avoid those ruffian HW types.
