RAF regiment

Post by ATCCPL »

First of all im new to this forum so dont beat me up with stupid posts about the topic. second of all yes i am a cdt in the ATC so if i say soemthing that is wrong i apologise and would rather be corrected than have the stuffing kicked out of me.
im interested in joing the RAF regiment as you can see by the title of the topic. im not up for changing my mind the raf reg is where i wanna go so paras and marines stay away. i went flying with cdts and was told by a member of staff who has friends in the RAF reg that they have a pack which they send out to people who are interested in joining i tryed getting the contact detials of the community lasion officer at honington but it was the Aux raf reg not the regs. i phoned my local AFCO but they havent sent anything through. what do you think my best bet is to do from now on then. just so you know im 16 17 in august and im almost half way through a 2 year BTEC course.

Go into your nearest AFCO and ask.

Yeah but you won't have to wait for it if you go there. You can also ask them any questions that you have at the same time.

Okay... What kind of writing is this?
You want to start paying attention to spelling and punctuation, okay?

That's as nice as I'm gonna get these days.

I know that that post that i made had no punctuation or grammer in it. If you look at my first post it was a lot better I'm sorry if i have offended you in any way by not putting in the correct grammer but i didn't really see the point in a short post as i made. When i write letters to my employer with my CV attached it was fully punctuated and proof read mulitple times so dont worry about it.

Ok i can totally understand your anger at anybody who text talks but if you look at both of my posts i haven't done that in either. All i have done is the normal error when typing to quickly and mismatching my letters.
I can see where and why you get angered if people keep text talking but i dont unless its in a text so don't start accusing me of text talking. Yes my grammer and punctuation has something to be desired i find english hard don't have a moan becuse of that.

No it wasn't text-speak. It was just a complete absence of punctuation and poor spelling, and on here we have to do better than that.
Simple.
It was lazy on your part, so call it moaning or whatever you wish, or you can consider case closed and move on to return to topic.

As you're an essex lad, you have two options.

Get yourself to the office in Southend. I went there when I was interested and talked in person to the RAF recruitment person. He made me fill in an application form there and then (THERE IS NO PRESSURE TO FILL ONE IN!! I purely did this as I had thought carefully about things.)

Another option is

http://www.raf.mod.uk/careers/nextsteps ... tsteps.cfm

Telephone them registering your interest and they should send you something.

Hope this helps

Cheers for that. I woke up this morning to find a large letter for me opened in up and there was a large pack with all the information that i've been waiting for. Now i just need to wait until my course finishes so i can apply.
