Completed phase 1 training.

Post by gtsco »

Hi all,

Just a short post to say I completed phase one training at ATR Winchester on friday, It was great and I made some good friends there and I'm looking forward to phase two now at Chicksands. These forums have been a good source of info for me so I just want to say cheers to everyone.

Lmao will do Harry, Got plenty of practise over the past 14 weeks'. Training was good fun, There were times when I found it tough and times when I seriously considered quiting but I got through it in the end. Barnsey, My training was good fun, tough at times, I made some good friends' and enjoyed the experience. I think if you go into it with the right attitude and with the knowledge that you will find times when your resolve and desire to be in the army is tested then you won't go far wrong. If you want to know anything specific feel free mate.

Lol yeah the town doesn't have much in it at all but you won't get to see it until after your drill test on week 7. The ATR is much the same as any other ATR i imagine though it is a small base. I was in 3 Troop and the training team there are excellent, other than that I don't know what I can tell you other than best of luck and get stuck in if/when you go there.
