I do believe the Chaplains had other "commando tests" to complete such as the walking on water testArtist wrote:Poor old Jolly Jack was always At Sea when it came to the AACC. Most were MA's, Schoolie Lt's RN, the odd Padre RN plus the odd RO who was bound for 148 bty as a FOO operator. So they got an abrievated infantry skills course at Logs.
Most to be fair hacked it with minimum fuss. The Padres carried a "Shepherds Crook' that weighed the same as an SLR/SA80. And it always made me Laff to see some erstwhile Padre with basically a six foot lead filled steel pipe bent at the end speedmarching or yomping along with all the other members of the course bristling with weapons.

Artist, believe me nothing's changed! We still teach basic infantry skills , to the whole course, it also gets everyone on a level playing field due their drills and skills being shocking that includes infantry units that have attended the course and should know better. I think i am right in saying no MA had passed the course in the last two years that i was there, however to be fair some matlow officers did pass with very good marks.
I was on Guard once and it wasn't long after the first Women passed the AACC. The Guard Comd rang up CTC to enquire about the Course, when the bloke on the other end ask was it for him our Guard Commander replied "No its for my Gran she wants to give it a crack" there was a lack of a sense of humour from the other end. He kept doing this everyday for about aweek. Its was funny

Pip was at Logs last i heard, she is a sore subject it wont belong for disablists are cracking it!
There were other women in the pipe line as well that wanted a shot at the title just before i left, if they can crack it then fair one, Pip should never have passed.
I was told that Pip was surrounded by Hiarachy when she did it and was mega protected she was fit but couldn't yomp and had to ditch weight on the other lads, she also came back to the week where she left of, no one else has that opportunity. I believe she took three attempts to crack it as well.

You are correct there Shrek about starting back were she left off each time.
Doesn’t matter,really. It`s a done deal.
Ref the heirarchy, I recognised Lt Col J Davies giving it large to the press after she passed. All "tremendous effort from a wee girly" sort of thing
One day a wee girly will pass the AACC, fair and square and that`s a fact. We all know that. What`s also a fact is that she will be Commando Trained, a Female Commando. What she will not be, mister Sun reporter take note, is a Royal Marine.
From the geezer who was running the cse a few years ago I know that of all the many applicants they would load the cse with whoever would be of the most use to Royal in the future. AAC helo drivers for instance. Any obvious "Hobby Badge Collectors" were told to re-apply later
Remember the female lance jack from the Battery who attempted the Cse about the same time as our heroine? RTU`ed with a broken arm, I believe.
Whatever happened to her?
It`s coming, one day you will see a woman with a Green Lid and it will be seen in the same light as other "minority groups" are now. The first few caused some people to raise eyebrows. Pass the RM or the All Arms Commando Course under your own steam, earn the Lid, earn the Respect. Black White Male Female.
Piece of piss, really

An old oppo of mine wasn't on that training team but spent a lot of his time hanging around the stripey's mess (don't they all) at the time and he said the exact same from what h e heard - she was going to pass whether she was up to it or not. I wouldn't want a lid if everyone thought I was a c**t in the real world of bootnecking.....hold on Sully.... they did

Lawyers hey? Who loves them
Heyup, m`learned friend. Have you clocked the latest Globe and Buster? A certain Legal Gent cum Booty cracks a gag about Tigers licking each other`s arses. Which is fine as far as I`m concerned. I like nothing more than to lick the arse of, er, are we on the open site by the way?
Ooops
Rather unfair to the taste of tiger`s arseholes, I thought
Apart from the obvious mistake about tigers in Africa, m`lud
