whats the timescales until pgac
Hello again everyone, just a quick question, or maybe two, firstly i am looking into joining the reg and was training hard but i ended up with an injury and i havent been able to do anything for about a month or so now so i dont feel anywhere near the required fitness levels although i feel a good hard month blow out can get be to a decent level of fitness so is it worth getting my name down for the aptitude test now as iv read you can wait for anything up to 3 months for a place on the pgac which is more than enough for even the laziest person to get into shape. Also for the past few months i havent been in work for personal reasons nothing to do with health or anything is this something that will count against me as im no lay about and i realise not working for a while gives that impression, whats the best way to go about that situation, thanks again for your time in reading this, i really appreciate the advice i have recieved from other members
sad
mate im just somebody who is looking for some advice, i have had good advice given to me by the members of this forum and to be honest you must have been so bored that you actually took time to read that long sentence as you put it, and even more bored to actually post a reply. If there's any members out there who can give me some advice i still appreciate it.
Good evening gogsy after I had been to my local AFCO for the initial presentation I sent my application form off 2 days later. Two weeks later I had a letter through for an appointment to take my Aptitude test in one month.
I would say get the ball rolling ASAP, end of the day if you already have a good level of fitness it won't take you long to get back to the required standard.

yes, fitness levels remain constant for a while so after a month you may struggle abit, however, after a few times you will feel like you've never even stopped.
when you do go back to training, dont start on what you were doing last time, build it up gradual and give yourself plenty of time to recover. is equally important as actually training.
maybe you could swim, i mean if your injured, at least your doing a little bit of exercise?
hope this helps a little
