Chosen to be an RAF Supplier. Does anybody have any more information on what this job is like. I was told at my interview that you never piss of a supplier because they can get you anything you need.

Not the reason I chose the job but still looking forward to it. Any help would be appreciated, cheers

Blanket stackers - one rung up the ladder from the mobile bath and laundry unit. There's ambition for you.

"What did you do in the army, dad?"..."Dhobi!"

"Dhobi, or not dhobi? That is the question."

On a serious note, there are plenty of perks to the job. You will be able to get loads of free stuff, you are responsible for keeping your unit supplied with everything they need, you will be in a comfortable environment with enough scoff and brews to sink a ship while everyone else is out in the pissing rain....etc etc. Its just a bit boring if you asked me, but everyone to their own i guess.

You can also specialise inito things like TSW (tactical Supply Wing) who will normally be on the frontline if not forward of the frontline to set up and defend helicopter refuelling points.

Not the most interesting job in the RAF but if you have plenty of time you could get involved in many activities, such as myself, i am a fellow armourer. Enjoy

Cheers chaps. Suppose if I've made the wrong choice I can always change after a couple of years.
