Hello From the US
Hello From the US
I'm another "yank" here to say hello. I am former US Marine and I am currently a police officer. I live in Dublin, California which is in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm just saying hello to all.

Welcome aboard Phil, Sol or Corona?
We are a wet ship, bud.
Do us a brief biog of which Units and what jobs you did Phil, for the sake of our non Marine members like Greenronnie.
He`s like the bastard offspring of the Village People and the 82nd Airborne, but don`t say I said
Have you read Nate Fink`s book mate? Good read for sure, but what I couldn`t get my head around was why he ate the apple?(and left the Corps, geddit
) I am not convinced by his reasons for leaving. Seems to me that he should have stayed in and put some back.
I digress
Wellcome aboard Phil, here`s to you and old Chesty
Sempers and Per Mare
Oooorrrraaaaggghhhhhh

I was with the 2/6, which for you guys is the Second Battalion, Sixth Marines. Part of the 2nd Marine Division, 24th Marine Amphibious Unit. They are now called Marine Expeditionary Brigrades (Special Operations Capable). This was from 1981-1985.
I spent my time in Camp Lejeune, Beruit, Korea, and Camp Pendleton. Nothing overly awesome about my time in; just a simple ole grunt. Basic Infrantry and Machine Gunner.
Now, I'm just an old police officer in the San Francisco Bay Area.
