i thought this would be suited here as it is run by RAF however is more to do with field exercises also.
Does anybody know about the course i am talking about? i am hoping to get on it next year and just wantd a heads up regarding itinery and any tips. cheers www

Whats the name of the course and what branch is it actually for?

Yep, its a course that I think has 4 2 day build ups normally on the weekends and then culminates with an 8- hour exercise where you get to fire blanks, chuck smoke grenades and get heli support etc. Have not done it myself but remember reading about it. A very physically demanding course and there are quite a few other criteria that need to be met in order to apply so its worth checking it out.

As far as i know its only for ATC and CCF(RAF) - (if the CCF were motivated anyway). Its an exellent course thats open for SNCO's only. It last about 6 -7 months (weekend and holidays only). It's basically basic infantry training. It culminates with a full shebang assault with airborne support from helis and harriers and so on.
