RAF Gunner, can anyone give me some info

Hi, im thinking of joining the raf as a regiment gunner, i had other options open to me but i liked the sound of this role. I was hoping there were some people here who could tell me a bit about being a gunner, is there travel opportunities and is this an important role within the raf, im making the biggest decision of my life and just want to make sure i get it right. If anyone can give me some insight into the life of a gunner and the raf in general it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, i have searched the pages, to be honest im just worried im sign up for this role and find im sitting about seeing no action and not getting to travel much

travel - where ever the RAF go, regiment personnel will go, so you will have the travel.

"seeing no action" - the regiment are in iraq, basra airport, things like that. if thats not enough action for you i dont know what is
