HCR, I reckon anyone is welcome here, Bootnecks are a friendly bunch. But I'm curious as to why you came. What's your service history ? Just a general outline.
No probs. Ive been in the Army around 10 years. Served in Bosnia, NI and was on OPTELIC 1 and am about to deploy to Hellmand after your boys at 42 and the Royal Engineers have got the place ready.

Why did I choose to post my first one on the RM forum you might ask. Well i was trawling the site came across this conversation and thought I would sign up to give my pennys worth.

Ref that footage of those Royal Engineers getting stuck in the mud. I think they were set up by your boys there.

Is your name Bud and do you have a bessy oppo called Allen?
Thought not. :-?
A pongo is a small furry creature which scuttles about in the bilges
Any the wiser now, are we?
Thought not :-?

It is named after a commonly held belief amonst Jack and Royal that "Where the Army goes, the ugly women follow"
And a bloody good thing, too, if you ask me, what 8)

Never used the word meself , prefer the far more user-friendly "Perce"

What about yourself big feller, how come you`re calling yerself Pte?

I think Harry's point was that you're a student, not the spelling of the abbreviation..
