The first Markmanship Principle is: The Weapon should point naturally at the target.
These guys weren't listening to their Instructor. They evidently thought he said, "The target should point naturally at the weapon."!!

That's the first half of the second principle. You weren't their instructor by any chance, were you?

indeed! what happened to "position and hold must be firm enough to suppport the weapon"?
