Forgive my ignorance, but is there some huge Pensions thread that I have missed? A search for AFPS75 or AFPS05 turns up nothing!
Surely this is a very important topic for a forum such as this??

If you are joining, you don't have a choice.
If you have left, you don't have a choice.
I am waiting on my extension decision before I choose but I have MMP124 guide and paperwork right here next to me. When has pusser ever done anything to benefit US? When leave and travel regs changed I lost 4 warrants a year but it was supposed to be beter for me. I also didn't have to claim DTEs, RILOR or whatever crap they put me on covers that... am I better off for it? Am I chuff! It ONLY takes one route into account. I, unlike many, still vary my route, still do car checks and still get seen off. No extension I stay on the current pension - Extension then I leave when I'm 49 yrs 364 days KERRRRRChing!

I guess it really only makes a big difference for those contemplating a Full career/Intermediate career (if they even want me for that long that is). I always assume that reform is BAD, especially with the current government, but so far as I can make out:
Short or Medium Career commission -> AFPS75 miles better
Long Career -> AFPS05 looks much better (+ benefits for certain specialisations)
Decisions, decisions. Why do they have me thinking about 2030++++?? Grrr!
Anyway, if no-one else wants to talk about it, fine, I just thought that those that joined before 05.2005 and have the option to swop might need somewhere to clarify things!!
