Well i left lympschvitz for the very last time today. My year anniversary was on the very same day of my Med Board when i was officialy binned two days ago. :( Threaders.
I handed all my kit back in and walked out the gate today, im absolutely gutted, i miss the lads already.
Although my career was short it was definetly emotional, im just starting to realise how institutionalised i am! it must be horrendous after 22 years! i would never advise joining the corps at the age of 16 or 17 after seeing my friend today who's been there 3 years from the age of 17. He's like a little lost sheep.

Time for another bash at civilian life

Rugee, take waht you learnt and keep hold of it, it will stand you well on the outside.
You'll do well, something about you tells me that, pr'aps because you didn't give up.

Best of luck fella and don't go away.

Rugee,

I feel desperately sorry for you but your leaving the Corps is no reflection on your character, just a very sad situation. As Stix says take what you have learnt to the outside world, that alone will place you way above the rest of the opposition in anything you do in the future.
God luck and keep in touch, after all you are still part of the Royal Family.

I don't know what to say mate. At least I left when I'd had enough time to be thoroughly hacked off with it - still a bit gutted even then. Stay in touch Ian. Good luck with whatever you decide to do - a year at Lympschwitz will stand you in good stead for anything. I'm really sorry mate.

Very sorry to hear this Rugee.

Look at it this way it wasnt your fault. And as they say "Once a Marine, Always a Marine" So don't wrap in with the forum as you can still impart useful info to the wannerbies and the Going though it blokes.

Allow me:

" Hello everybody! My boyfriend is a serving Royal Marine. At the moment I'm really disheartened that he has received his warning order for an overseas deployment! I feel guilty as whilst he's currently living in field conditions, I'm living comfortably at home!I know he'snot having a great time at the moment. Is anybody on here a serving member of 42 Cdo RM?"

At least I think thats what she meant to say!
