I get the feeling quite often (No Parry, not that kind of feeling, you can put your instruments away) that I should have stayed in France when I went there for a couple of months last year. Only reason we came back was because the other half missed the grandchildren.

So Lord Irvine (a Tony crony) believes that people don't really feel too bad about getting burgled once or twice. I wonder how he would feel if his grace and favour residence was done over. The man is a total w@#k just like the rest of the legal profession - especially the dottering old plonkers called judges.

Ahoy there!
I wonder how burglars, lawyers, the courts, judges and police will react when burglars are challenged by law abiding citizens and beaten to within an inch of their lives.
Will the courts be advised not to jail the householder if it was his first offence?
I suspect that he would be banged up before you could say "release Tony Martin".

Here we go then...

why is it that an imigrant to this country is given a council house or put up in a hotel, given a car (in some cases), free TV licence, food coupons that I have seen them spending on expensive electrical items from shops, etc blah blah blah. Whilst when we leave the service we are not entitled to a council house and are kicked out of quarters? I can't afford to buy a house because I have moved around on the orders of the government so much. I can't afford to buy a house because they cost so much in the areas that I have been drafted to, the expensive south! Why do they get something for nothing and I get nothing for giving everything? Here endeth the rant...

I, as a serving Police Officer have often wondered about that one!
I might apply to join the National Black Police Assocation, (needless to say I am as white as a pint of milk) see what happens, it should be fun! Any cops on the site heard any yarns about this sort of thing, someone must have tried it already.

I think you'll find it is called 'Positive discrimination'. This is where you are discriminated against because you are not part of a minority.

It's a bit like the MOBO (Musicians Of Black Origin) awards. I suppose a case could be put that a white person should me able to get an award from them... if not he is being discriminated against because of the colour of his skin. Can Michael Jackson qualify for a MOBO Award?

Many of the reasons stated here are why I emigrated..
I cant be bothered to support a country with taxpaying that favours illegal immigrants rights over those of it own population

However the grass isnt always greener, just a different shade which I like better

Why do we have a Scot as our Chancellor?
Why do we have a Scot as leader of the House of Commons?
Why do we have a Scot as Speaker of the House?
Why do we have 70 Scots MPs in our English Parliament?
Why do these 70 Scots MPs have a say in the running of England?
As Scotland has it's own parliament why aren't these MPs serving there?

Lots of questions but not many answers.
