I joined up in 85 with 508 Troop. We`re have our 20th anniversary reunion next year, so I put up a warning order over on www.onceamarineetcetc. a few weeks ago because I couldn`t get in here.
Anyway, I got an email from someone who said they were up for it but didn`t remember me. After a swop of emails, turns out he was 508 SQUAD who passed out just after the 2nd world war. We`ve since swapped a few more emails and one of the questions raised was;
When did the squad numbers stop and the troop numbers start and why did they change??
Any of the really old and bold know??
So there we have it. A Corps history question and hereby giving notice that anyone from 508 Troop or 508 squad is interested, we are having a joint reunion Friday 11th Nov 2005. For a full set of Pussers Orders, get in touch.
