be given tens of thousands in taxpayers’ cash so they can fight to stay here.
The Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine, has changed the rules to make it
EASIER to get legal aid to challenge Home Secretary David Blnnkett’s plans to deport them or jail them indefinitely. But last night there was fury that the judicial system appeared to be bending over backwards to help potential mass murderers while denying aid to Britons on middle incomes.
Shadow Attorney General Bill Cash fumed: “The whole legal aid system needs a shake-up. “People involved in terrorist activities should not get aid when others on modest incomes can’t qualify.”
Suspects protesting against detention can argue their cases before the Special Immigration Appeals Commission. This was heavily criticised for being soft on terrorists after claiming human rights were breached. But the commission, which sits in secret, has been praised by Muslim groups and civil rights leaders.

I mentioned on the 'BNP' a couple of weeks ago that what we needed was five years of military dictatorship, and as time goes on it seems to me to be more and more necessary. Our country seems to be slowly sinking to the level of some of the countries these bogus asylum seekers are coming from. Legal aid for everybody except the people who have paid into the system all their lives and who are entitled.

I thnk you're right. The papers only tell you the side of the story they think will sell most papers. One of my daughters has a tumour on her pituitary gland. Her GP is Dr. Patel (Indian); the consultant neurosurgeon Mr Nafwaz (Pakistani); the consultant endocrinologist Dr. Khaleeli (Arab origin - at least, his name means "my friend" in Arabic). Wonder what state she'd be in if they hadn't "immigrated"?

It's not an aspect of immigration anyone seems to mention.

We spend a fortune on asylum seekers - but they aren't the ones who get the dosh. It's the Brit hotel owners, B&B owners etc. who are creaming it. Oh and lawyers of course. Like those tosspots terrorists who've cost us £1m in fighting extradition to the US on terrorist charges - but they are the minority. And it's the good ol' British lawyers who are the ones laughing all the way to the bank.

Gaining legal aid does not depend on what the ALLEGED crime happens to be. It depends on your income not what you are suspected of doing or your ethnic orientation.

Cops get it wrong and how many of us are historically celtic (which were the original people who resided in Briton)? We're either roman, viking, french, germanic or a mixture....WHICH ARE YOU ?!

It's christmas and as far as i can remember, it was never about gifts. I always thought it's about good-will and cheer FOR ALL ... black, brown, white, immigrant (legal/illegal), employed, unemployed...whatever.
So next time you wish or are wished a Merry Christmas - THINK ABOUT WHAT IT REALLY MEANS.
