Don't know if it's already been discussed...
who's your favourite to win the tournament???
my favourites are Germany...they've always proved to perform their best in tournaments!!!
just let me remember you all of that 5:1 loss to england in the world cup qualifiers...but still playing marvelous football to reach the final of the world cup...(just one example)
now after losing to romania 5:1...who knows??? :D
or the 8:3 loss to hungary in the group stage of the 1954 world cup...then beating them in the final 3:2!
oh well,enough dreaming...
everybody i know says it'll be the french...but personally i think england will have a surprise victory this weekend, that'll kill all french hopes.
what do you think?

England all the way . It was a ploy by F.A chiefs to come out with Santini as new Spurs manager just before the big game so that the French squad will be distracted.

I think Czech Republic will win it.

I bloody hope we hammer the French I can't stand all this big talk by the French players, Zidane and Thuram mainly. I think Thierry "I choke in big matches" Henry will have a bad game against us. It's one thing scoring week in week out against Wolves and Charlton etc but when he plays against t good defences hes usually found out (One of the reasons he didnt play well in Serie A for Juve).

1996 - Holland
2000 - Germany
2004 - France Come on England!! :(

I myself believe we can win, we have some great players, and its about bloody time. The French have no doubt a very good team, but look what happened in the World Cup. They where probley the worst team in the whole competition, they are not all they are cracked up to be.

There is no doubt that Thierry is the best strike in the world at this time. He has scored against nearly every team in the Premship, good and bad teams. Plus when we and I mean Arsenal beat Inter-Milan in Milan 5-1, he had a great game. He can score against any one, any every one.

France are unbeaten for 18 games and not conceded a goal in over 1000mins

Granted a lot of the games were against minnows, but they did play Brazil and Holland.

It will be close but we have the English sprit, lion hearts and WAYNE ROONEY!!!!! :)

Wayne Rooney!!

against Iceland he had to touches worth mentioning - two goals - his first touch all game was crap and his passing was utter crumbs!

yet hes the best we go i feel - closest after him n little Mickey is Darius (no not the pop idol hom) .... crap for villa - top notch for england - also got tricky feet, can finish n got pace!!

yet we need Alan the Man up front back i feel to have a better chance!

cheers, davo

If he can play not so well and hit two, I feel when he hits a vein of form he will be better...............

France were caught off guard during the world cup and im sure they won't be wishing for a repeat performance, they'll be clicked on. England always raise their game against high profile teams....COME ON LADS!!! :D

I think Portugal will win it, can't see anyone beating them in their own country. Of course, I want England to win though!

I just want to see all those St.Georges flags flying high in Trafalgar Square like we saw in December when our rugger team brought back the World Cup.

Just think the best place to have a reception, Trafalgar Square on the bicentenary of Trafalgar Day with 100000 red and white flags, England expects every man to do his duty.........

By the way, a groups of mates and I are leaving for Portugal on the the 19th. Transport by way of a motorhome (converted coach) arriving in time for the Croatia game.

There is room for 2 more if anyone is interested. Cost will be about £150 contribution to travelling fund and food/beer.

Don't worry about tickets, we don't have any. Should some come our way at a reasonable price then ok. But we're not paying tout prices. Also there are huge screens in various parts of Lisbon where thousands of England supporters will be gathering.

Should have a laugh along the way but the first person who asks "who's best rm/sas/sbs/para will be kicked out at the nearest services. Come to think of it, why bother to stop!

pm me if you fancy it.

I'm voting for France to win. They should be motivated to redeem their crap WC showing and Henry's on fire this year.

To me, Rooney's not been really proven yet and Owen needs a better striker partner. Missing Ferdinand on defence might hurt, though John Terry had a strong year.
England also lacks a good left winger. Heck, England has bunch of good passers on midfield, but none that can really drive up the field. (Maybe Joe Cole or Dyer can, but they're still pretty young and need some more seasoning)

Italy with Totti and Vieri up front and if Del Piero plays to the potential he's capable of, that firepower might just win it all.
