South Thailand

Post by Mr Mojo Risin »

Best mate is currently on a travelling holiday in Thailand.

Has just informed me he has to travel into one of the danger regions where there has been fighting recently.

I havent seen anything on the news/radio or anything to indicate that the fighting has stopped or wotever - does anyone know if it has calmed down or wether the fighting is just not being reported on ?

Situation has calmed since last weekend. Rebels decided to hit several police stations in a series of dawn ambushes. However, security isn`t one of their strong points and the police were lying in wait to spring anti-ambushes. About seventeen rebels killed plus three police. Aussie govt issued update to previous strong warning not to visit S. Thailand. Current warning says do not visit under any circumstances. If you are going, check with F.O. for info before you decide. I`d give it a miss this year, or visit Johur Baru, where you can still have as many Kai Tais as you want

well the fake dvds may be cheaper in Jahor but IM in singapore ....... what more could you ask for?
P.S. - please do not peply to "what more could you ask for?" the question was rhetorical - asides its only us pikeys in sing who go over there to rip off the "salesmen" why rip them off when shop owners in singapore will do all the ripping off for you and almost free of charge plus tax plus licensing fee plus god knows whatever else they can think of. - (i appologise for the lack of grammar)
