A piece of history I had heard all about before.
Then Jelly perhaps you should go back further in history and study a few more cultures who have done much worse.
The cause of many wars and much blood shed has been mans inability to not dwell on the past and to continue to blame those of today for what was done by those so many years before.
Your use of the words could be understood if you are in fact Boer decent. Then you also need to look at what the Boers did to troops and prisoners as well.
I think this has its place though the insult and degrading of history by the coment made to introduce us to this should be changed.
In war time Innocence has always seemed a threat to those who don't have to see what goes on and just give the orders.

Look folks, you can censor me all you want, but the fact is that this happened, it was years ago, but so was the holocaust, that doesn't make it any less important.

3. Proportionately more Boer women and children were killed (27,000) than Jews killed by the Nazis in WWII

1) The British did 'invent if that is the right words the 'word' concentration camps.
This described the isolating of the Boer farming communities from the Boer army, come fighters, into camps, which were 'concentrated.' That is the people who were taken from the farms were concentrated into camps.
Isolation of communities, by using guarded camps, from the fighting men has been going on for years but on a small scale.
Taking the words from the website, you describe,' The motive behind this action was the destruction of the farms in order to prevent the fighting burghers from obtaining food, and to demoralise the Boers by leaving their women and children homeless on the open veld.'
A distortion of the truth, which is usually to mix a truth with a lie. The Boer women and children were moved to camps after the destruction of their farms.
These were not death camps and the purpose, as said before was isolation of the fighting man for his supply sources i.e. the community.
2) The British built 32 camps.
So what, the reasons are described above.
3 Proportionately more Boer women and children were killed (27,000) than Jews killed by the Nazis in WWII. Not true. No true statistics exist but more than a third of the Jewish race perished in published conservatively figures.
Mainly cholera, measles and other communicable diseases caused the Boer war casualties. To use the words 'to kill or killed'' implies a deliberate act of murder. This was not so and in a Victorian society would not have been Christian. Mainly poor camp hygiene and poor organisation caused it.
The site and the people who run it have the same atitude which has caused so much harm in South Africa.
That attitude is that one race is superior to another, which any soldier or bootie who has been in a slit trench with a different ethnic race oppo, knows is a load of bollocks.
If you examine the Nazi concentration camps you will find that when they first started building them around 1934, they used the same term Concentration Camp or Larger. At that time the camps were used as a place to keep political and social prisoners concentrated. They were the seeds of the death camps.
People tend to forget that over 11,000,000 were eventually 'killed' (gassed, shot, worked to death etc) and 6,000, 000 were ethnic European Jews. These figures do not include those 'killed (murdered) in the occupied Eastern territories by the Einzappen groups (Spelling may be wrong). So the figures given,
6,000, 000 Jews killed is a rough and very conservative figure.
The British didn't invent explosives (gunpowder) it was the Chinese, so do we blame all deaths due to explosives on the Chinese?
If you want a serious discussion don't string 2 + 2 and come up with 3.
