see what you mean about this guy Muts, obviously not a fan. If you want to quote Mark Twain, get the words right. You`ll find it makes a differance.

Not being a vain type, I must thank feathers for his kind observation
You and Harry the Hat do have a lot to say for yourselves on many subjects....you really are very authorative..

However, I wonder why he chose to reflect on the obvious; Is it not apparent that as I have known myself all my life, I can speak for myself with a great deal of authority, as is the case (in most circumstances) for everybody else.

Somebody should tell feathers to stop sucking lemons whilst on the net. But then again I suppose we cannot expect anything other than amari aliquid from somebody who drinks that gnats piss of a girlie drink, lambrusco (a whole 8%).

Shame about the Twain quote, with the previous reference to a
good tom sharp novel
I was begining to think that feathers was literate.

oh come on Tom Sharp is great, for an ex cabbage head (nat service)

anyway, cant flirt with you ladies all night, there is a case of lambrusco to get through, and of course my literary quotations book to revise...

Which bit was wrong? Happy to be enlightened, I should have included the last few words, as if you are civvies you no doubt earn more than a Tom.

"I like criticism, but it must be my way."

Canst thou not see the great pursuit is but to gather what ancestral vices might favour or grind upon our fellow cruisers chests. To see what heights wilt they acheive or to which midden might they return.

Wilt thou blot out this great riotous assembly?

You might consider adding this to you book of quotations:

I don't consider myself bald, I'm just taller than my hair.

haha! I like the tom sharp one best! It will be a while before I am taller than my hair, but I shall remember it!

All these quotations put me in mind of...well a few quotations.....

"Beware of thinkers whose minds function only when they are fueled by a quotation."
E.M. Cioran

"A fine quotation is a diamond on the finger of a man of wit, and a pebble in the hand of a fool."
Joseph Roux

"One original thought is worth a thousand mindless quotings."
Diogenes

Reference scotland, and fast things... I dont know what that refers to I'm afraid...

So many possibilities so little time,
quotations, where one can use another's words to be insulting.

A genuine welcome aboard, Perce, nice to hear the alternative viewpoint.

You won`t be the only one to think me vacuous and gobby(Really Harry?) or to find some of the things I post offensive.
That`s fine.
I don`t post for your enjoyment, but for my own.
There is one thing that demands a reply, however and that is your comments, on various threads, about that poor lad, Deaf Ant.
Please go to Member`s List, click on "Deviant", click on"find all posts by Deaf Ant"
I defy you to read the bollocks that this child has posted on here and still hold the same opinion. His total posts are 100 and most of these ramblings were before he graced the Royal Corps of Signals with his presence. So your implication that we/I were picking on a recruit, doesn`t stand up.
Did my comments about the old slapper who runs Pegasus Cafe offend or annoy you?
They were meant to. We call it a "bite" and you bit.

All the same, welcome aboard. No hard feelings, and as I can`t be arsed unpacking my quotation books, I`ll just say" two large Cloudbases, barman" cheers Feathers :drinking:

yours, Aye

Harry, I have come across some more posts from the young lad, he seems to have little pride in what he's doing, and not much of an appetite for adventure he should be relishing... nothing worse than a 'hat' except a lack lustre hat...

Good luck to him, I am sure he made it, he'll be bleeping peeping as we speak.

Oh, Harry what a waste, and I hadn't even tightened the slack yet. Never mind, I guess you were busting a gut after your withdrawal.

O, and feathers, the scotland/fast ref was superceded by one of your later posts - so no worries.

By the way welcome and enjoy.

no offence intended, simply curious as to the reason for such a large quantity of booties on this site....

None of you old booties have been on the box have you? When I was a kid I was a huge fan of all things elite and special, didnt know then that red and green should never be seen  found an old vid the other week with a prog about the arctic and mountain warfare cadre (BBC2), and another ITV prog about the commando course .......Lt. Gillies was in it... only flicked through....

I had more vids devoted to the airborne.... P-Coy, The Paras, Red Freds stuff.... Always found the site of mass airborne drops exhilerating... Never got quite so worked up over amphib assaults... :-? Still found the whole lot interesting.... Want to have a pop at AAC pilot too when I get the blinkin chance...

That animated GIF isnt you perchance?
