Senior Systems Engineer
Would you like to play a key role in the design and development of aircraft mission systems? We currently have a number of vacancies for Senior Systems Engineers at our site in Warton.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be working with a range of activities across the various stages of the systems engineering lifecycle. You will be working with fast jet mission systems, such as: navigation, displays, controls, sensors, radar, attack & identification, armament control, weapons integration, communications, defensive aids, electronic warfare and electro optics. You will be responsible for ensuring work undertaken is to the right quality and accuracy, as well as providing help and advice to lower level members of staff.
This role will provide you with the chance to work with cutting edge aerospace technology with the chance to specialise in a specific area of mission systems. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the customers and suppliers in the UK, as well as overseas.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Systems Engineer will involve:
Systems requirements management, including the capture, manipulation and management of systems requirements
Research and development of systems
Design process engineering
Systems safety engineering, including the analysis of the systems safety requirements
Systems integration, including structuring and partitioning of complex systems
Systems performance analysis
Systems qualification and acceptance
Installation and support of systems
Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Systems Engineer:
Essential:
Experience of one or more stages of the systems engineering lifecycle/ V-model
Background in electronic systems or similar engineering discipline within a complex engineering environment
Degree or equivalent qualification or experience
Desirable:
Knowledge of PC hardware/ components and their various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
Experience of aircraft systems/ mission systems

Salary: £34,274+
