Thanks Tony

See - I'd missed the Bulwark and Albion stories completely.

If they have refloated these old pair, when is the Tot coming back in?

Royal Goes In

Commandos head to Afghanistan

The UK is to send an infantry battle group to Afghanistan in what Defence Secretary Geoff Hoon called the biggest British troop deployment since the Gulf War.
In response to a US request the battle group, which is built around 45 Commando Royal Marines, is heading to Afghanistan to battle the remnants of the Taleban and al-Qaeda forces.

We will be asking them to risk their lives...they may suffer casualties

There was a debate in what used to be called Parliament ,today,on the subject of the use of 45 Commando in Afghanistan.A quick news flash
on the BBC six oclock news showed about 30 of the bastards we elected
to represent us were present in the chamber, which shows just how interested they are in the subject.Of course,if the subject under discussion had been fox hunting, ive no doubt there would have been a full house.

Royal in the News

Post by Mike »

Owdun, your so right about Parliament there would have been more intrest in ANTHING but Royal, a bunch of prissy lads we have elected there! Another thing I have noticed is the lack of NEWS being passed to our friends over the POND about ROYAL's involvement, just have a look on the USM web sites and try and see a mention of Royal, Have a look any where and you will find very little about Royal... Perhaps one of our friends could point me in the right direction of a good cutting or even a paragraph!
Aye yours

Royal in the "Stan"

Post by Shoulderholster »

Mike re your last, I have a friend in Texas and talking to him a couple of weeks ago he tells me that Royal had quite a lot of coverage on the news.
Also a mate of mine in Idaho has mentioned it a few times in the E-mails he has sent to me.
I have asked if they have heard anything about our lads being put forward for the Congesional Medal of Honour, the answer is not yet?.
Hope this puts your mind at rest, they know we are out there.
