Look at life/Insight Course July

Post by _Mark_ »

Seeing as i've been waiting for almost 6 months to re join, i thought i'd get a free, all expenses paid weekend away, courtesy of the army. Booked up for the July insight course 26th-ish, just wondering if anyone else is going .

Its an insight course, 3days up with the paras doing alot of phys with them.

Its free (they pay for it all travel included) if you search parachute regiment on tintaweb there is a contact number on there to book.

Contact number for insight course booking: 01206 817083.

Its apparently very helpful and a good "insight" if your going through joining process or thinking of joining.

I can see the point in the insight course but now that prac is back It's kind of like your doing two insights, I haven't done the insight course but I have done PRAC and I imagine there very much alike now.

i loved every minute of the insight course, its a friendly atmosphere and you get to see loads of cool equiment as well as informally chat with serving paras, i would def reckommend it, PRAC isnt as enjoyable simpley because of the testing conditions.

Ive got a grade 2 ruptured soleus and meant to go on RRF insight course. I cant and wont do any sort of running, tabbing or assault course. Is it still worth going? Or will i feel left out anc ashamed im not participating?

Realistically you're not going to be able to do anything mate so I wouldn't bother you'd just be a burden on the staff and I imagine you might feel like a bit of an outsider with the rest of the lads if you've missed all the phys which lets face it is a big part of the insight.

If I were you I would let them know whats happened and try to arrange another date once you're healed, I think you'd get a lot more out of the experience that way.

I'd second that mate,no point in going if you think you can't do the phys!
