Who are you?

It's been a while since the last one was done, so I thought I'd start a new one...

Basically, copy what I have written below and fill in your answers...anyone...weather RM wannabie or not ;)


Name: Dave Batten
Age: 24
Height: 6ft
Weight: 12 Stone
Currently doing: Computer Engineer, used to work for Olympic Sailing Team.
Organisations: Used to be in the TA (Royal Artillery)
What kind of training are you doing at the moment? None at the moment as I have a hip injury, but usually do 2 x long runs, 2 x sprints, 2 x swimming, plus the usual press ups, pull ups, sit ups (i used to do 3x run and 3 x sprint, but changed to accomodate swimming)
Immediate Future? Passed PRMC and Foundation starting on 24th January
Long term future? To pass the 32 weeks training and get in 40 Commando!

Name: Ashley Williams.
Age: 17.
Height: 6ft.
Weight: 11.5 Stone.
Currently doing: AS Levels.
Organisations: College Cross Country.
What kind of training are you doing at the moment? "Armstrong Pullup Program". 3 x 5 Mile runs per week. Various Circuits.
Immediate Future? Tuna Mayo & Lettuce sandwhich.
Long term future? To redo PRMC in May. (Withdrew myself last time halfway through. Felt I hadn't given 100% so decided I would not have been the best candidate for basic training. So I put it off for 12 months. Looking well forward to getting down there for another crack though!)

Currently doing: Motorsports engineering at Preston Uni
Organisations: None
What kind of training are you doing at the moment? Im only doing weight training at the moment because i have a hip injury which im trying to get sorted.
Immediate Future? Got 1 year left at uni after this year so im just trying to get my hip sorted so i can start my training again.
Long term future? Joining the marines as soon as ive finished my last exam next year. Hopefully get the tests out the way b4 then so i can start the training in the summer[/b]

Organisations: Sprog Pilot Officer RAF VR(T), Mountain Leader (S)
What kind of training are you doing at the moment? Usual stuff: running (both endurance & sprints), weights, football, press-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups etc...
Immediate Future? Finish uni in May & start my application to join the Royal Marines (hopefully start recruit training around September/October 2005)
Long term future? A career in the Royal Marines

What kind of training are you doing at the moment? Weights and nothing else at all as I am trying to bulk up as I am a bit on the gangly side.
Immediate Future? One and a half years left at University then a year out to travel and more importantly train for a POC.
Long term future? Entry to the Royal Marines as an Officer with view to a possible long term career.

Currently doing: call centre rep, placing nurses into hospital vaccancies. bar work.
Organisations: TA royal sigs.
What kind of training are you doing at the moment? none at the moment due to a dislocated shoulder. but usually do 2x gym circuit (cv) 2X 3 miler, with sprints at the end. rugby x2 then the usual press ups pull ups etc.
Immediate Future? get my shoulder fixed. then go and take the recruit test.
Long term future? pass PRMC and go into training before mid summer.

Currently doing: Outdoors Education & Adventure Recreation BA Hons
Organisations: T.A Royal Sigs, PADI Rescue Diver, basic Canoeing, Kayaking, Powerboating and Sailing quals.
What kind of training are you doing at the moment? Running, Cross-Country Ski Training, Hill-Walking and Mountaineering with Bergen, Map and Compass, Press-Ups, Sit-Ups & Pull-Ups plan on MFAT, Swimming, Weights
Immediate Future? Three months of Cross-Country Skiing, Expeditions, Navigation and studying in Finland. Mountain Leader (S) training when I get back.
Long term future? Royal Marines followed by a bit of relaxed work as an ML or Diver when i'm an old barsteward.
If it doesn't hurt it's not worth doing!

Long term future? Hopefully a career in the marines, if not i will try the police force.

Immediate Future? PRMC July/August ish, was aimming for March but put it back as I just broke up with Girlfriend and need to do some serious bucking.
Long term future? Hopefully given the chance to pass training.
