2nd time a charm.

Post by gruff_c »

Just got back from prmc (6-9 sept) with a nice new pair of boots :D

This time if found it much easier than last time (if thats possible :o ) i wasnt as nervous which i think was a main reason for failure last time as well as not being physically ready.

Hopefully i should start training within the next month and i cant wait, just like to thank everyone on the forum for there tips and training info as it helped me no end in getting fit and ready for prmc.

anyone going down soon best of luck, give it all you got and show them you want it and you will.

Bleep test: 12 ( something i have to work on)

Press-ups: 60

Sit-ups: 80

Pull-ups: 5

Assault course: 3:56

Anyone that wears glasses and is worried about them or anything dont worry about them i had no problem with them just take them out on bottom field because your vison is going to get blurry any which way

Thanks again.

Good one. Takes a bit of courage to go back a second time, knowing what is waiting for you.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

Thats the problem im facing ie i know whats coming the second time around, but.....i read somewhere that apparently the brain has a function where it tells itself that something that previously caused a lot of pain isn't as bad as it was, it also went on to say that this was/is an essential function for homo-sapiens to survive.........alcohol and hangovers spring to mind :P

Nice one Gruff.

How did you find out you passed? At the end do they call peoples names, and they go in another room and told they failed? And the others who are still seated are told they passed?

Dude failed PRMC  bummer, wasnt a fitness reason was due to injury, goin RAF Regt, my attitude stinks, i wouldnt last 2 mins in training so untill iv matured abit im not going to waste CTC's time. Keep it up FODD you will be in week 24 in no time! :)

Gunn,
you say that you wouldn't last 2 minutes in training because your attitude stinks, so what maked you think that RAF Regt is some sort of filler instead?

Not trying to flare up a debate, just curious about your reasoning
