PRMC to Foundation Duration

Post by Cobalt »

Does anyone know the average duration of time between completing the PRMC and starting recruit training?

I'm looking to do my PRMC in Feburary and would like to get down to Lympstone proper as soon as possible.

Cheers.

It varies.

When I went in a couple of years ago I had to wait 8 week between my PRMC and starting basic, but another guy (lucky shit) waited 2 days. The troop starting that weekend had someone phoning up saying they weren't showing up, so this other guy got offered the placement. He did his PRMC Tues - Fri, he started basic on the Mon.

In general though, 6-8 weeks.
