where abouts..??

Post by sabspencer »

Hi Folks.. I live in South Africa...
I need someone to help me locate FM radio stations that transmit - in or near PIRBRIGHT - Surrey...

I have a son at the Alexander Recruit Training College/Camp ...and I believe that he could listen to radio stations nearby..

...so I want to know which radio stations could be nearby - and also their internet website addresses - so that I can "stream their audio" broadcasts...

Kindest Regards
Spencer Sabatta

An attempt at a reasonable reply .....

My lad did his basic at Pirbright but never heard him talk of radio stations. When he has got his face out of my fab home made lasagne I will ask him about such.

Sorry about the infantile stuff so far.

Removed. The guy has a genuine question. You can't answer it.

Sabspencer, it must be hard having a son so far away and embarking on life-changing stuff.

PM me. Me and my other half are happy to help out where we can. We have played host / mentor to a couple of young lads from the other side of the planet during their recruitment / training phases. One successful, the other not so, but I like to think we helped. Even if it's just to provide a bolt-hole, some family cooking and a bag of washing done.

My way of thinking is, if it was my lad, I would like to think that someone would have half an eye on him being so far away from home.

There are plenty on here who will vouch for us as being genuine folk.

Apart from the obvious who will now take the piss .....

So can eejits from everywhere else - can't have anyone accusing us of being Salford-ist!

I would offer home cooking to anyone stuck on a course at RAF Cranwell, but the lodger does all mine, and it wouldn't really be fair...

He does all the washing up too Jayne, and buys most of the food...
All that on top of paying me £300 a month to sleep in my spare room.

He does eat very loudly though. And I can't just wander about the house in my undies any more. (It's got a bit cold for that anyway now!) He's not supposed to be here at weekends, but he's going through a rough patch with his g/f, which I hope gets resolved REAL soon!
