Cheers  It is difficult not to make judgements of people based on first impressions, I think we are all guilty of having done it, I know I have. What we need to do, as you say, is to be able to see past that intitial judgement/perception and to value people on the more important things. Ali ....

Goodbye MFAT

I thought I would post this today as I don't know how much time I will get free this weekend. Well, it's sure been a while but at last, I start RT on Monday. I am very nervous about it but am also really excited. I am doing what I have wanted to do all my life and it starts on Monday! I've been here...

I've had the same mate. Chance are its just a strain from over exertation (cant spell that damn word!). Leave it a few days and it should feel tons better. If not, see your GP or a physio.

Hi Martin, I have now done (and passed) two PRMCs. The first one was the 'old' style that you have done and the 2nd was about 7 weeks ago. On this 2nd one, I found gym test 1 slightly harder as you are tired from the 3 miler in the morning (you run the 3 miler entirely squadded now, not just the fir...

Your AFCO should ideally take you into the office, as on my one, not only did I get my travel warrants/forms etc, but I also got to watch a PRMC video and he answered any niggling questions I had.

This may sound REAL stupid, but it got me to improve my running times. I bought some USMC running cadence. It really keeps you going and most importantly, in step.....even when you're knackered, you still subconciously try to keep in step (hence keeping your speed up). It really worked for me. If yo...

Hopefully I will be able to pull through this and get on this course. I REALLY wanna get on there. So...

I remember timing myself once and I got about 19.30 but I am sure it wasnt the full 3 miles or something. To be honest, I never timed myself....I just trained hard and went balls out. Just remember to put in a couple of sprints before you set off to at least prepare yourself a little for the warm up...

The average on my last PRMC was about 09.40'ish. If you get a 'lesser' time, dont worry about it lads.....just go balls out on your PRMC :)

Unlucky mate. We had 11 people fail the 3 miler on my 2nd PRMC. Like others said, at least you know now what to expect and your nerves will be a little bit more settled. On my 2nd PRMC we had one lad in my room who failed his last PRMC on the 3 miler and he was bricking it......he got through the 3 ...
