It's got to make you think though - How did old Shifty get in the situation to have to ask the Father of his Girlfriend whom he doesn't know for Money? and not just any father BUT A BOOTNECK FATHER!? :o I'd keep and eye on him, could be drugs, gambing or Crime, etc. Sounds like bad news! JZ.

If any of you are in Portsmouth i'd be very willing to train with you because i'm keen to maintain my fitness as i intend to try again at some point. I'm still in the mind set when i train and none of my mates are in the same zone if you know what i mean. There was a guy called Damian in the current...

Gunn, I did a PRMC last year for the regulars and failed on the 3 mile run so i can understand what it takes. But I got back home and trained my arse off and passed PRC for RMR. If you sort yourself out a 3 mile 'test' run every week - full effort - that you time along with the rest of your program ...

The simple and frustrating answer is no I'm afraid. The trick to CV exercise and general fitness is Variation, i.e - do lots of different things every week - 1X Fartlek, 1X 3 miler 1X 4 miler 2X times Sprints and circuits. <-- For example (or variations of). I find Fartlek and interval type training...

Get a pull up bar from argos/index and fix it to your door - You can do chin ups (undergrasp) - these will work your biceps among other muscles. You can increase effectiveness by holding the exercise at the bend - with the chin over the bar, or even better hold the exercise at the mid point with elb...

He's been coming down to Portsmouth det for a few months now because Portsmouth det hadn't got it's own PTI, infact it hadn't got many staff at all, although it was quite a bit better by the time I left. Before Marine Cummings we hardly had any Phys sessions and had to 'borrow' PTIs from the Royal N...

Good luck Seamaster (if you are yourself joining). When's the Selection weekend? (I got half way through basic training with RMR Porstmouth). The PTI down there (Mne Cummings i think?) is very good and you will benifit from his sessions. Let me know how you get on, and if you need any advise just as...
