I've been told that you dont need as many marks on the AST to pass if your going for the trade of gunner? Is this true or do you need the same marks no matter what your trade?

Can under 18's be sent to a war zone?

I was wondering if under 18's can be sent to a war zone? e.g Iraq. Because i know you can be deployed but can you be deployed to a war zone?

Driving Licenses

Well im going to join the RAF Rgt (hopefully) and I was wondering even if your under 17 do you still get your driving license? Or do you not get it till your 17? So legally you cant drive but the RAF has your license? Or isit a special military license which says you can drive while on duty only?

What are the coruses like for being a Gunner?

I know in the military you can do college courses, but the AFCO said i can only do courses realting to my trade so im guessing the courses would be like Security courses but can anyone give me some real info?

I just ran the 1.5miles give or take a bit. In just under 12mins, I thought I was seriously unfit but maybe not. I'm just lazy but I have something to aim for to get into the RAF!
