Dale! Sorry for the delay in my reply I've had no internet for some time now. I'm good mate, been told I'll be going back either late Jan or 1st PRMC in Feb. Having my 21st at CTC might be a reality! I've been at a bit of a loose end training wise but I'm starting to see results now, ruitine sorting...

Crucient, I think you'll find this will have little bearing on people making their minds up about the Corps. The Marines aren't an easy lot to join so those who aren't really sure if they want to join probably get weeded out in the careers office. If an article in a crap tabloid affects you decision...

I'd agree about rhetoric for young impressionables, most soldiers I've spoken to have been very encoraging about joining any branch or service, this ones the first who's been different! Seems a bit off I thought to slag off another service to try and get another recruit into the army. He seemed to b...

Pongo talk me out of here...
I was fixing a Hearse the other day when a bloke came in to pass the time of day, and as I'm the new face asked me what had brought me to England. I told him about attempting to join Royal and he started sounding off about the Army. "You'd be a fool to join the Marines lad, the Army will look a...

I feel I must add to Artists brief overview of the number 6 saga. Things I have learned are Tiger beer is a nice drop, and comes in a decent sized bottle, and fireworks in the house is a really silly idea  The night was yet young and the lads had been around to their favorite 24 hour fireworks...

Here cometh the hung over ramblings of Benjo, be ye warned! Doc and myself were a shade late getting in from the Pub, we were hanging out our backsides for scran and had braved sub zero temperatures to reach No 6. After choosing to watch the P Coy dvd over the Take That documentary and seeing Aerosm...

Stix, I failed the 3 miler :( I did something to a ligament in my groin and stopped paying attention to running and started putting all my effort into dealing with a bit of pain. Been over it a million times in my head as to what I should have done, struggled on and finished with the group or slowed...

Doc I might make it down again depending, PM me the dates and I'll try getting a train down. I will be leaving my emergency bug out bergen 2 km away in a norwesterly direction only accessible via two sewers and a stormwater drain, and it takes eight left handed dog legs to find it! Let me know oppo ...

Jayne, firstly my appologies for overlooking this thread for so long! Yes I'm backing Jayne 100% on that, Artist will talk about a good dump he had back in '72 while in Malta as if it were but a few hours ago! In fact his recollection will be so enthralling we'll even be wrinkling our noses at the p...

My injury is geting better steadily just a case of getting back into the habbit of training a lot harder, I...

Hi there. I did poorly on the PRMC, damaged a ligament in my groin and did not pass. I have to say the PTI's were great and gave me a load of advice to help sort out the problem. I'll be back on the 30th Jan and by golly I AM going to pass second time round! I'm back in training now, lots of swimmin...
