Thanks for all your advice. For officer class, does anyone know what the qualifications and requirements are. I've got gcses 3A*S 3As 4B just if you were wondering. :wink:

I'm really considering applying for the marines. Its been my ambition since these marines came into my school and got me interested in them. I applied for the army about a month ago but i have to wait until my braces are out and by that time I'll be 17. I didn't apply for the marines at first becuas...

Still for me i only had 6 months left of treatment and only needed the odd checkup so i really thought it wouldn't matter. I'm going for grenadier guards or electrical engineer (not decided yet :roll: ).

It might cost loads to get them done privately but with NHS its free, personally, i'd rather get them fixed and done now and then do the army.

What regiment is your daughter going in as ??

Just rang my orthodontist and i'll have my braces out by june 09. I might as well just wait for them to come out since army was my plan.

I know i may sound naiive here but how different is the marines to the navy?

Hi i'm, josh

I recently got a letter telling me I couldn't join the army yet because i have braces, does anyone know what the marines policy is on braces and dental plans?

I'm 16 and i'm pretty fit, my 1.5 mile run time in 9 mins 30 secs does anyone know the fitness requirements as well?
