I remember when the CO and I were having a 'chat' and he raised the possibility of myself applying for a Commission and I replied ' I couldn't possibly work on a commission basis due to having a large family to support'. Fortunately he had a good sense of humour (I didn't apply for one).

I think my feet have strated to harden up due to all the running i am doing, my mum reccomended i put white spirit on them! Always listen to your Mum. Good advice. the Para's are part of the Regular Army and not seperate, Brian could join straight into the Para's as he could RM.
