Cheers for the comments guys. To be honest I hadn't given the reserves a thought. It would probably be a very good idea though as it would help me improve my fitness, learn skills that will help once in and show my interest and hopefully set me apart from other officer applicants at the POC and AIB....

Not specifically about leadership but Clive Woodwards' autobiography 'Winning' is excellent. It may not teach you how to be a leader but will give you in an insight into how he operates as a successful manager. The man was/is a very successful businessman as well as being a great rugby coach and his...

Not going to be a Marine for a while now...
Well after having started the application process well over a year ago I have made the decision to put my goal of becoming a bootneck on hold for the foreseeable future. :( There are 2 main reasons for this, the main one being that it is not financially viable for me right now. My better half and I ...

Good post. I think the press up routine is a bit too advanced for someone just starting out though TBH. When I first started getting back into training I couldn't bang out 30 press ups let alone 165, even with the short breaks. Just my opinion though. P.S. I haven't read it all because; I'm not just...

£2791.65 with penis. £939.75 without penis. For a f***in Punto. That's disgusting! Even if you're driving the 1.8hgt that's an awful quote! You can do much better by shopping around. Some people really rate confused but everytime my renewal comes round I always get it cheaper by shopping around mys...

The issues with xbox reliability are pretty much ironed out now - they are now offering 3 year warranties on consoles sold (even the ones already sold right back to the launch). The PS3, however, still has all its teething issues to come. I you are buying right now then there's no contest, 360 all t...

 You took your time! Even if you post something which you deem to be proof of whatever it is you are trying to prove (which isn't very clear), you have displayed yourself as such an idiot that no one is going to believe you. Go on the BarryBoys forums (chav car modifying site), you'll be right...
