I've also been down on the Larkhill familiarisation visit and been offered sponsorship by the RA. I think both 29 commando and 7 RHA are similar in a way as they both use light guns but in obviously different roles and if you are lucky enough to be selected it depends which is your preference ...

Ben, CC means commisioning course, i.e the year at Sandhurst. On the time line thing it depends how well your pre-rcb goes, if you get a cat 1(excellent) it could be as little as 4 weeks till the RCB but I know people who have had to wait up to 4 months due to the huge amount of applicants at the mo ...

Im in the minority with you maverick, hopefully got the POC at the end of the year but a the moment thinking I may have to push it back, an injury and end of year exams kind of messed up my training.
Out of interest how are people doing in reaching those maximums?

Here is an idea but depends on you having like minded mates. Me and a few pals are going abroad over the summer and taking in the sights of Spain while running and camping. cheers for the advice BenP, have been doing footy pitch sprinting but not with it sandwiched in between runs so will definately give it a go. Hopefully got the POC at the end of the year so plenty of time to improve I hope. Good luck with the AIB
