Well I am an average pongo and I am fine thank you. As for the title of the thread. 3 CDO (including my good self) will be deploying on Herrick 9. Its going to be a bugger because we have to take ''redders kit'' as well as ''warmers kit'' .Impressed with the Royals so far, should be a hoofing tour.

LD's are pretty good as are HCR we all have our banter as all units do,9th/12th are a little iffy.Its a bloody good job with lots of scope for different stuff. They do bang out a load of OP tours.Tank regiments do use scimitar and they are in recce troops however without boring you with the details ...

Of course there are a few guys from when putties were ''gucci'' that should get the medal they deserve.I just dont think the fact that somebody that served in the army/RN/RAF gets a medal purely on the fact he served.Its wrong.I have medals now that I know I have deserved and I have a few medals I ...

Sorry but I dont agree at all.People dont deserve a medal for having just been in the armed forces.In this current climate where lads are in contact everyday in Afghan,it cheapens it when ''cold war warriors''bleat about having a medal.Sorry I dare say not all are cold war warriors but you know what ...
