Just a question on regards to:

Good luck with your course mate. Im sure you'll pass.

I guess it is a great move to get the Green lid and do a Uni course. But I am so scared about going to university, hating it, and dropping out. What will that look like? lol.

I know the chances are it WILL be the best three years of my life ...

Von,

Thanks again.

Today I submitted my UCAS application. And I have applied to do a Computer Science degree at a few local uni's. But I have applied for a "deferred placement" which basically means that I have a year off and don't go until 2009. This doesn't mean that I am definitely going, but ...

If it doesn't work out for you and you don't get to become a pilot, go in the AAC anyway and become aircrew! The door gunner is trained to land the aircraft should the pilots get shot. Sounds like fun, providing you can get to aircrew. :)

Argh! If only the Eurofighter had a door gun :D lol ...

Re: Parachute Training in the Royal Anglians

Air Bourne

Is he related to Jason by any chance? Boom Boom :P

P.S. Please dont say Paras :p

That's a classic, posting a question and then telling people not to give you the answer :-?

On a side note, while the Paras are the only Airborne Infantry there is also an Air Assault Battalion ...

Scott,

So you don't want to go to University and don't fancy the RMR because it is too far?

You might be the best thing since sliced bread and so get into the Corps as an Officer anyway but you need to be aware that you are opting out of the two things that can really make a difference: the first ...

I got told the same thing when I applied to the RAF for my 6th form sponsorship.

I passed my interview, went to OASC and got told I am too tall. They offered me all these other jobs, I.E. Fighter Control Officer, Weapons Systems Officer etcetc.

But none of it appealed so I drew a line under it.

I ...
