RAF Halton Easter Break?

I am due to start training in about a week and whilst at the AFCO for my final interview he told me that RAF Halton might possibly close down for a week over Easter. He wasnt sure wether they do or not. Is it true?

I cant really give you a definite answer, but on the prtc, the females all seemed to have shoulder length hair, some even longer. They said that they will be required to bring something to tie it up with.

i actually got a phone call a few days ago asking if i'd like to start on the 9th of January, I turned it down though as i have bought tickets to go to India for 2 weeks in mid January to see my sister. So you never know you might get lucky and it might be fast ^^.

haha yer iv started doing morning runs, there a pain in the ass, but at least ill be ready this time :D. I under-estimated the PGAC, but i know what sort of thing to expect now.

I failed on the PGAC due to the 3 mile run, I guess running at 9am or so didnt agree with me, i was dissapointed at the time. But now iv been given a start date to for training to be a mechanical transport driver, so its all good :D

Well done mate, not so bad is it :D

22nd of January seems like a long wait, but nevermind its more time to improve your fitness.

On the medical they check weight, height, eyesight, hearing, piss test, you strip down and they check for anything abnormal, and the rest i cant think of.

make sure to know all about the pgac, and all about the TG course, memorise a lot of different RAF bases you could be based, and also where you could be posted abroad. For example i was asked for 7 different RAF bases that I could be based at. They asked about my childhood, what clubs im in / have ...

Yer still going in as MT driver, i first booked an interview for MT driver in about mid September, so about 2 months to get this far.

My fitness standards at the minute i think are at a fairly decent standard, so i just got to maintain it untill then :D. I done it for the past 6 months, another few ...

Start Date

Just want to say thanks to everyone thats helped, I have been given my start date at Halton for the 20th Feb. So providing the 2 day course and the interview before hand go well, i will be good to go :D

The excitement is getting the better of me already!

thunder: In general I think the process for me has been at a decent speed, roughly about 1-2 weeks between each process. But I am from Cornwall, and Its not the most highly populated place. Just take each step as it comes and it'll arrive before you know it.

Thanks a lot, i think that the PJFT will be fine, i know i can beat the required time, but yet im still nervous. I suppose its normal :D

oh right yer that does sound good, im sure it will be a good laugh :D
I asked him when he thought i would start and he said for M.T.D theres a high chance it will be January, but he wasn't positive.
I got my PJFT on Tuesday so i guess i will find out soon after that.

apologies for bumping an old topic, but did you find out what the 2 day course consisted of?

I was also told about it yesterday and dont really know what it involves :D
