Re: Rifles

Should be aiming for 10min30secs or less mate to be safely in the time limit. Don't forget you have an 800 metre warm up before that too so try to do about 2 miles with your 1.5 mile best effort

Re: SAS Info please.

Depends on how much you want it, and how hard you work at it. Do the research about fitness requirements for RMC and when you feel you can pass the selection, go for it.

Had my pre selection today, just make sure you nail the ice braker and run. I had a great day and it's made me want to go in even more.

Re: ADSC Discussions

Well today I went to Aintree Barracks and collected my pre selection paperwork and timetable. Looks to be a busy day and I was wrong about having to do sit ups/press ups on pre selection as it just states heaves, jerry can and the run. Bit nervous now. Got 2 weeks to tweak my fitness. Reducing caler...

Re: ADSC Discussions

I want to go into the RLC. Wouldn't worry about the ice breaker, apparently there are titles in front of you to go off and you just expand on them. If you've had any jobs, why you wanna join, what your friends think etc

Re: ADSC Discussions

I havn't heard one person say they are fully ready for selection, all depends how you push yourself on the day. I also heard push ups and sit ups are just best effort at selection, you just get tested on heaves, jerry can and your run. But i've read that on pre-selection (if you go on it) that push ...

Re: ADSC Discussions

10:40 is a good time, what you going in for? Para's are 9:30 which is the top time (correct me if im wrong) so 10:40 should be fine. Don't forget when you're actually there you'll probably do better as you have the other people to keep up with and the Army staff pushing you
